+<fs medium>Fiber optics works in sending information in a beam of light down a glass or a plastic pipe. It has the same technology in transmitting telephone calls at the speed of light. It's cable is made up of thin strands of glass known as optic fibers. The nightowl members discovered that each strand of it is less than a tenth as thick as a human hair. The team where able to use the Fiber Optic Tool Kit which features a complement of tools and supplies for the fiber optic installation. +<fs medium>HexChat is an IRC client based on XChat which was introduced by JayD to the members for them to try, play and socialize with other members in a geeky way. It is easy to use and its interface is customizable. It is translated in multiple languages and is fully an open source and is actively developed. The most important thing in HexChat is that it's multi-network with auto-connect and join. The members where able to communicate through it by using their channel which is #nightowl and automatically a person can enter the chat room and converse with the other users also using their unique nicknames for fun.[[https://hexchat.github.io/ | HexChat]]</fs>

+<fs medium>Department of Science and Technology (DOST) presents "Dumaguete University Town Innovation Expo" in partnership with Robinsons Place, Foundation University and other Universities. It was a two day expo at the Atrium of Robinsons Place Dumaguete. The technology demonstration for 3D Printing took place on the first day of the Expo. The Nightowlers and Nico Cena introduced 3D Printing to the audience, printing a simple three-dimensional chair and discussing the different types of 3D Filament.</fs>
